Cristian Pappone has been appointed head global banks Switzerland at Vontobel and brings more than 20 years of experience in asset management and wealth management.
He joins from Zürcher Kantonalbank / Swisscanto Invest, where he acted as key account manager, head wholesale Switzerland and global head sales.
In this capacity, he was responsible for the expansion of strategic relationships of Swisscanto.
Prior to that, Pappone held client relationship management positions at RobecoSAM and Credit Suisse.
Asia Pacific
In addition, Benny Gay has been named head intermediary clients Asia and is based in Vontobel Asset Management’s newly opened office in Singapore, marking an expansion of the firm’s Asia Pacific presence.
Gay is responsible for managing relationships with global banks, as well as intermediary channels, in Singapore and Hong Kong.
He brings more than 12 years of relationship management experience in the asset management and wealth management industry.
He joins Vontobel from DWS where he was head of private banks and intermediaries Asia ex Japan. Prior to that, he was a client advisor to HNWI at Citibank in Singapore.
Gay is joined by Jeremy Tan, who has taken the role of relationship manager, intermediary clients Asia. He also joins Vontobel from DWS.
