Desire for US equities soars in Luxembourg, France and Portugal

After its spectacular fall from grace, going from one of the most bought to one of the most sold stock markets, US equities have suddenly found new fans in Luxembourg, France and Portugal.

European fund selectors turned away from US equities at the start of 2014 and have remained sceptical since, with the EIE sentiment research showing more sellers than buyers.

However, in the last few weeks we have seen something of a turnaround in three countries only: Luxembourg, France and Portugal. 

The graph shows the percentage of fund selectors and asset allocators who are intending to buy more of the asset class.
