Russia is at the forefront of the blockchain and cryptocurrency revolution.
A recent BusinessWire Report on Global Blockchain and Crypto cites studies showing that by 2030, blockchain technology is expected to be a significant contributor to the global GDP, lifting it up by close to $2trn.
As of late last year, 20% of the top 50 blockchain startups by funds raised, were Russian. They were either founded solely by Russians or had Russian partners.
Why might that be? Cheap labour, highly technically competent staff especially in cryptography, in large numbers. And the Russian economy isn’t booming, so many entrepreneurs see this as a huge opportunity and are throwing blood, sweat, tears and money at these innovations.
Many people might not know that Ethereum and Telegram were founded by “Piter” natives Vitalik Buterin and Pavel Durov, respectively, which have helped transform Russia into the top two largest Blockchain countries globally.
Much of this might be hype but you can be sure blockchain, in some form, is here to stay and more than likely to change our lives. Russians will leave their mark on that in a more substantial way that in this tournament!

For a long time, Denmark have been focusing on clean energy. This have created some of the world’s leading companies within the sector.
Vestas Wind Systems A/S is a global leading manufacturer of wind turbines and Ørsted A/S is a leading global company in development and operation of onshore and offshore wind farms.
Recently, we had a new IPO on Nasdaq Copenhagen, Green Hydrogen Systems A/S, which is developing and manufacturing electrolysis solutions of green hydrogen using renewable electricity.
So, investors who want to look for companies related to clean energy, can turn to Denmark for exposure.
