Sweden’s East Capital expands global investment team

Stockholm-headquartered emerging and frontier markets specialist has hired portfolio manager and two analysts

Swedish emerging markets specialist East Capital has announced new appointments across its international offices.

Jakob Wikander (pictured) has joined as portfolio manager responsible for East Capital Multi-Strategy Fund. He joins East Capital’s Stockholm office from the asset management unit of Bank of Åland, where he worked as a portfolio manager and analyst with a focus on global interest rates and European equities.

Michał Czerwiński has joined as an analyst in the group’s Stockholm office. He will be responsible for research coverage of Central and Eastern Europe supporting portfolio advisors Tim Umberger and Eglé Fredriksson.

Sanat Sachar, meanwhile, has joined the company as an analyst based in East Capital’s Dubai office. He will assist portfolio adviser Emre Akcakmak, providing research coverage for global frontier markets.
