CFO appointed at global growth market investor, while Allianz board member retires

Actis promotes Susan Wilkins and Shami Nissan

Actis has appointed Susan Wilkins as chief financial officer and executive committee member and Shami Nissan, head of responsible investment, as executive committee member.

Wilkins leads a team responsible for the operations of the firm, including financial, legal and human resource functions.

She joined Actis from Lekela Power, a pan-African renewable energy platform.

Nissan heads a responsible investing team at Actis. The team is fully integrated into the Actis investment process, from origination to realisation, and provides technical knowledge blended with commercial acumen.

She joined Actis in 2014 from PwC’s sustainability and climate change team.

Actis is a UK global growth market investor in private equity, energy, infrastructure and real estate and has $12bn (€11bn) of assets under management.

Allianz appoints new board member    

Klaus-Peter Röhler, currently chairman of the management board at Allianz Deutschland and Allianz Versicherungs-AG, has been named as board member of the holding company for the wider group, Allianz SE, starting from 1 April.

His appointment at the multinational financial services company comes as Axel Theis confirms he will retire on 31 March.

Theis was responsible for insurance in German-speaking countries and Central and Eastern Europe.

Röhler will retain his role at Allianz Deutschland only.
