Asset manager Columbia Threadneedle has announced who will form its new Netherlands-based distribution team.

The firm said that the moves will also involve the integration of BMO GAM (Emea) as the business prepares to unify under Columbia Threadneedle’s brand at the beginning of July.

According to the company, the team will be led by Michaela Collet Jackson, head of distribution for Emea. She will be joined by Rogier van Harten, head of European institutional; Florian Uleer, who was recently promoted to head of European wholesale; and Emmanuel Archampong, head of Emea insurance in London.

Jackson said: “It is a real pleasure to announce such a strong and experienced leadership team based out of the Netherlands and I’m very excited about what we can deliver for clients going forward. With the additional coverage and capabilities of our expanded organisation, which in the Netherlands is focused on responsible investment, fiduciary, [liability driven investment (LDI)] and single asset class strategies, we have a fantastic opportunity to deliver for our clients and therefore strengthen and scale our business.”

In the Netherlands, the team will be split across products and solutions. The product team is to be led by Prosper van Zanten, head of sales Benelux, and is focused on both institutional and wholesale activities. He manages a team of three sales directors.

The solutions distribution team in the Netherlands, focused on fiduciary and LDI, will be managed by Trondur Rothengatter, who is responsible for the client directors and client managers in the Netherlands. Both Prosper and Trondur will report to Rogier.

Bart Kuijpers takes up the role of global co-head of outsourced chief investment officer and will continue to lead the global fiduciary teams with a focus on the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

In responsible investment, Karlijn van Lierop is confirmed as head of responsible engagement overlay, an engagement and voting overlay service offering clients access to research and expertise in active ownership and (climate) screening on equity and corporate bond holdings, as well as proxy voting services.

In her new position, van Lierop will lead the product specialist team focused on the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, and North American markets. She reports to Claudia Wearmouth, global head of responsible investment, and Kuijpers.
