The latest EIE Market Insight study – which is based on a series of face-to-face interviews with wealth managers and bank fund selectors in Zurich – finds that the city’s investors are underweight equities, but that they are unlikely to significantly alter their regional stock allocations during the next 12 months.
In contrast, more than half plan to increase their exposure to absolute return – a sharp upturn in appetite for such strategies since last year’s Expert Investor Zurich event. Emerging market corporate bonds are also in demand, reflecting a perception that valuations are attractive.
