Give Brits the option to remain European citizens post-Brexit, says Verhofstadt

Guy Verhofstadt, president of the Liberal faction of the European Parliament, gave a passionate speech at the Expert Investor Pan-European Congress in Rome earlier this month.

Verhofstadt, who is also the European Parliament’s chief Brexit negotiator, believes any effort to stop Brexit is futile, now that Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty has been triggered.

However, he also said he wants to help British people to retain their rights as European citizens.

Watch the video below to find out how he wants to do that.

You can find Verhofstadt’s entire speech in Expert Investor’s special edition.

This one-off multi-media edition of the Expert Investor magazine also includes an in-depth feature addressing the question how to futureproof your investment portfolio.

The question of what to do about your fixed income allocation when expected beta returns are as low as they are now, is addressed in a separate article.
