Ark Invest Europe names European sales director

Paul Spells was previously head of ETF sales UK at Circa5000, reports Christian Mayes

Ark Invest Europe has appointed Paul Spells as director of northern European sales.

Spells, who was previously UK head of ETF sales at Circa5000, has also served as sales director at Orpheus Partners and as a business development manager at LGBR Capital.

James Thomas, head of sales at Ark Invest Europe, said: “The hire marks a pivotal moment for ARK Invest, underscoring our enhanced commitment to our European investors.

“With his expertise in European market dynamics and a strong track record in selling active and sustainable strategies, Paul is well equipped to amplify our capabilities and improve our client service in this crucial region.

Last month, the firm launched three strategies as Ucits vehicles, including the firm’s flagship $14bn strategy, Ark Innovation UCITS ETF (ARKK), as well as Ark Genomic Revolution UCITS ETF (ARKG). The firm also launched a strategy made specifically for the European market, called Ark Artificial Intelligence & Robotics UCITS ETF (ARKI).
