Asset manager Amundi has made three top level promotions within its offices in Italy and Austria.
The firm has named Cinzia Tagliabue as chair of its board of directors in Italy, moving up from her role of Italian CEO. She will be replaced in that by Gabriele Tavazzani. Over the border in Austria, Franck du Plessix has been appointed to the role of CEO in the Austrian offshoot.
Amundi said that Tagliabue has been CEO of Amundi in Italy since 2017, and deputy head of partner networks division and a member of the general management committee of Amundi since 2020. She took on the role of head of international partner networks division in March 2022.
Tavazzani, meanwhile, comes to his new role in Italy following nearly three years of CEO of Amundi in Austria, having been deputy CEO since 2018. Previous roles include those of CEO and president of the management board and CIO of Amundi in Poland from 2015. He also served as general co-manager and head of sales and marketing of Amundi in Italy.
Last but not least, du Plessix spent seven years as CEO and chair of Amundi in the Czech Republic. He also held various lead roles in the business development of Amundi’s retail network and partnerships. He joined Amundi in 2008 to lead the business development of structured products with the retail distribution networks.
