AllianceBernstein has introduced the AB US Value Portfolio to European markets, using the approach of AllianceBernstein’s long-running US Large Cap Value Strategy.

The fund, which will be managed by Cem Inal, will focus on large-cap companies and have 46 to 65 holdings. Inal has been CIO of US large cap value equities since 2020, and joined AllianceBernstein in 2003.

“We have been running the US Value Strategy successfully for over 50 years and we’re delighted that it will now be accessible to the European market. The current value opportunity is substantial in the US with many successful and growing companies being valued at large discounts to their intrinsic cash flows,” Inal said.

The US Large Cap Volume Strategy was launched in 1973 and has been available through a US mutual fund for US investors since 2001.

Honor Solomon, CEO of EMEA and head of EMEA retail, said: “We are delighted to bring this capability to the EMEA market as this fund launch fills a gap in our US Equity offering for the market. We have already had significant interest from our clients for this product and we’re looking forward to bringing it out to our wider clients, so they can also access this long-established strategy.”

The Luxembourg-domiciled AB US Value Portfolio has $229.6m assets under management and was seeded by a client.
