Selectors looking to find impact strategies in liquid equity investments need to find companies that have an articulated strategy, Aberdeen Standard Investments believes.
The firm’s investment director for global equities, Ross McSkimming said these companies needed to have at least one sustainable development goal at the heart of their business through their products and services.
“Ultimately what we’re aiming to provide is a double bottom line you’re going to get that positive financial return but equally you’re going to get positive impact as well through investing in those companies that are making a difference,” he said.
