Asian investor confidence declined by 4.6 points to 116.1, reflecting a reduction in allocation to equities by local institutional investors. “Trump’s victory has clearly exacerbated anti-globalization jitters [in Asia],” commented Jessica Donohue, executive vice president and chief innovation officer, State Street Global Exchange.

European investor confidence also declined, by 2.6 points to “a relatively low level” of 86.5. American investors, who allocated record amounts of money to US equities during the week after the election, do not so far seem bothered by Trump’s election: their confidence score rose marginally from 95.6 to 95.7.
