Asset manager Federated Hermes has appointed Dominik Schubert as its director for wholesale clients in Germany.
The firm said in a statement the appointment is part of its efforts to strengthen in presence in the German wholesale markets while pursuing growth across the DACH region.
Schubert is joining the firm from Goldman Sachs Bank Europe, where he has been head of sales in southern Germany. He will be based in Frankfurt and report to Frank Pöpplow, head of business development for Germany and Austria. Schubert’s LinkedIn profile indicates that prior to Goldman Sachs, he spent nearly five years at DJE Kapital in Munich, following stints at Capital Group and Merck Finck & Co.

Pöpplow said: “The appointment of Dominik Schubert is a key step in our strategy to further strengthen our position in the wholesale segment. In his new role, Schubert will implement the strategic direction of Federated Hermes in the wholesale business. His main tasks will include the development of effective sales strategies, the identification of growth opportunities and the maintenance and expansion of existing customer relationships. In addition, he will also contribute to the expansion of Federated Hermes’ product range in the DACH region to meet the evolving and diverse needs of clients in this market.
