CBRE Investment Management has hired Alina Iorgulescu to be the new portfolio manager for its Europe logistics strategy.

Iorgulescu is joining the firm from Tritax Euro Box after six years as investment director, with a responsibility for investment strategy and building up the portfolio. In her new role, CBRE IM said that she will be responsible for designing and implementing portfolio strategies.

Jeroen de Grunt, managing director, Europe logistics strategy, at CBRE IM, said: “A very warm welcome to Alina as the newest member of our team. With nearly two decades of real estate experience under her belt, her dedicated logistics sector knowledge and strong track record in investment and asset management will go a long way to strengthen the team, as we continue to advance our strategic vision and growth for this strategy.”

Iorgulescu began her career in 2007 at JLL, where she worked in the firm’s European capital markets division. After nearly 11 years, she then moved to Tritax in August 2018, staying in this position until the announcement of her move to CBRE IM.

According to Tritax’s website, Iorgulescu originally joined as assistant fund manager following the launch of EuroBox.

CBRE’s new hire comes on the heels of an announcement that the firm has raised $630m in equity through funds and co-investors it manages for the firm Accelerate. That $630m is topped by a further $150m inaugural assets backed securitisation. The amounts also represent an increased investment in Accelerate, which has a large portfolio of infrastructure assets.

A statement from the pair said that they originally joined forces to launch the infrastructure site acquisition strategy in December 2022. Since that time, Accelerate has acquired interests in more than 200 properties in 38 US states under digital, renewable, and transportation infrastructure assets.

Iorgulescu joined CBRE IM in November and will be based in London.
