Researchers from Expert Investor Europe visited Amsterdam and Utrecht this month and found fund selectors at banks, family offices, platforms and pension schemes largely upbeat on the macroeconomic outlook, despite the steadily worsening domestic economic picture.
As a result, 67% of interviewees expected to boost their developed Europe equity exposure over the following 12 months and none planned to reduce their exposure – marking a significant strengthening of appetite for the asset class since the Expert Investor Netherlands conference in September 2012.
